101 Favorite Songs: (101 - 90)

I have completed my iTunes list of 101 of my favorite songs. Over the next few weeks I will release them in groups. Today I will list songs 101 - 90.

This was incredibly challenging - I've been sitting at the computer for well over 3 hours debating songs and deciding their rankings. The top 10 was super easy, I knew right away what my number 1 song was - but the rest, not so easy.

Picking favorite songs is a very in the moment tasks - who knows, by the time I release all the songs my mind may have changed on rankings and song inclusion... only time will tell.

101. Dreams - The Cranberries

"Oh my life, is changing every day, in every possible way" - just a great song.

100. Fireflies - Owl City

This song makes the list for many reasons, 1. it reminds me of Jer and our honeymoon, 2. Bearski has his own version of this song and it makes me laugh really hard during "I like to make myself believe, that planet earth turns slowly" and 3. the video kicks some major ass.

99. Sad Songs - Matt Nathanson

Jer and I saw him live at Jammin' at the Zoo and he's great. This song gets me to and from work most days. It's just a cool song to be rockin' out to on the el.

98. Pink Cadillac - Bruce Springsteen

This was one of my favorite songs as a youngster - all I wanted was Pink Cadillac, crushed velvet seats...

97. That's Not My Name - The Ting Tings

Another song that reminds me of the doggie, "That's not Bears name, he gets real mad" - yeah J and I made that up one day and still can't stop singing it.

96. Love You So - Natalie

This song totally has a cheesy memory for me - when Jer and I were first dating, this is the song I couldn't stop listening to because it was how I was feeling for my man. Still feel the same... I really do love him so. xoxo

95. Real Good Man - Tim McGraw

Because this song kicks ass, that's why.

94. Mr. Moon - OAR

I couldn't find the actual audio of this song, but it's a great song. You should probably just download and realize why it's on the list. "A little boy alone, he relies on fairy tales and the moon is his castle late tonight..."

93. The Old Apartment - Barenaked Ladies

This is totally a me and Jer song - not that we ever would break into any old apartments or anything crazy like that. We listened to this song on repeat at the beginning of our courting phase, just laying around, connecting over how great of a song this is. "And I am happy here!"

92. Dance Floor - T Pain

And I'm back at ISU, working at Elroys. That's what this song is, in every way.

91. Wanted Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi

Rock Band makes me love this song more than I already did. And Bon Jovi is just fabulous - what list of favorite songs is complete without at least ONE of his songs?

90. Silver Springs - Fleetwood Mac

I love Stevie Nicks voice - and this is by far my favorite Fleetwood Mac song. When I was younger I used to dance around my parent's living room making up ballet routines to this song. The end is my favorite: "You'll never get away from the sound of a woman that loves you" - it's haunting, and I love it.
